And, we are excited to bring you some of our favorite things to do in Grand Rapids MI and hope you enjoy them. We are always looking for safe ways for our clients to get out and enjoy their surroundings. There is a lot to offer in our town to take a look around an see if you might find something you like.
In our Chiropractic practice, we see 100’s of patients a week and understand the amazing diversity that Grand Rapids has to offer. Grand Rapids is also known for all the microbreweries found around the city.
Some of the Grand Rapids MI attractions are:
Frederik Meijer Gardens – Some things found here are the Amphitheater Garden, Windmill, Great Lakes Garden and Kettle Pond. They also offer amazing art exhibits and in the spring there is a Butterfly garden. Here you’ll find some nice walking trails and nature that has been preserved from the cities growth.
John Ball Zoo-John Ball Zoo is a nice little zoo found right here in Grand Rapids MI. It is home to lots of various animals and there are different stations where you may feed the animals as well as touch them. Of course, not all the animals are going to be touched, but there is a small petting zoo area. And, they offer zip lining as well as nice benches to sit on.
Grand Rapids Public Museum is a great place to visit as well. There are various exhibits there that teach about our rich history in Grand Rapids MI as well as Michigan and the US itself. There are a few levels to the museum and often times the upper level is a special traveling exhibit that is a bit extra but worth it. They have some famous and amazing traveling exhibits that show up from time to time.
Grand Rapids Children’s Museum Grand Rapids Children’s museum is a great place to take the kids and grandkids. It is full of fun activities for smaller children and some that you can interact with them as well as let them explore on their own.
And, if you know the director of the office, you know that live music is his personal favorite. And, Grand Rapids MI is not hurting for some live music that’s for sure.
Grand Rapids Music Venues
Van Andel Arena is a great spot to see some of the famous traveling acts. It is actually the home of the Griffins, the Grand Rapids MI hockey team. And, it’s huge with parking ramps nearby for easy access. There are many traveling acts that show their talents here.
Devos Performance Hall is a more upper-class style of music all. This is more for the theater types and is a great place to see some class acts. This is a smaller venue than that of Van Andel Arena.
